Covid-Safe Guidelines for QYO Ensemble Members and Staff
General
- If you are feeling unwell, you must not attend QYO activities or enter the Old Museum Building grounds.
- If you arrive feeling well but start to feel unwell during QYO activities, you must immediately advise your conductor or a staff member.
- As soon as you enter the Old Museum grounds, you must maintain 1.5 metres social distancing from other people at all times.
What to Bring
- Members must bring their own music stands and water bottles to all QYO activities.
Building Access
- Members and staff must register their attendance at the entry desk on arrival.
- Only QYO ensemble members, conductors, tutors, official volunteers and office staff may enter the Old museum Building.
- All chairs, stools and risers are laid out according to markers on the floor and must not be moved.
- Members may only access the room in which they are rehearsing, access to and from the room using the correct entry/exit point, and the closest bathrooms.
- Members are required to leave the building straight after rehearsal finishes.
Brass and Woodwind Players
- Brass and woodwind members must bring their own towel/spit mat to each rehearsal to protect the floor area
- Members must clean their instruments on their rehearsal chair
- If Members find there is any spillage on the floor, they must advise a staff member as soon as possible
Storage of Instrument Cases
- Members positioned on risers must place instrument cases under their riser or under their chair
- Violinists and violists must place instrument cases under their chairs
- Cellists, double bassists and tuba players rehearsing in the concert hall must place instrument cases against the walls in the concert hall foyers
- Cellists, double bassists and tuba players rehearsing in Studio 2 must place cases against the walls in Studio 2
